I have a grid connected, 115/230volt PV Solar system with battery backup, consisting of 48 AP-100 Solar Panels (rated at 89 W each in standard sunlight).
It was installed in year 2000 and has reduced our electric bill over the years to about one half. There was some difficulty getting it to work properly at the start, possibly due to the fact that the installer’s solar experience was mostly limited to hot water heating. I think I was one of his early customers for PV solar.
The system never worked properly nor produced electricity as it should have. Also there have been six times when the city power failed. Each time our backup system, did not work. We got no support from the original installer. Fortunately for us, we were able to restart the system each time with a telephone call to Mr. Evans. The original installer has never been of any help. He does not do maintenance work.
Last year we engaged Mr. Evans to review and maintain the total system. He worked the system over completely and now, for the first time, it functions as it should, running flawlessly ever since. There are not sufficient words to express my appreciation for his skill and conscientious accomplishments.
