Times They Are A Changing
The world is speeding up it seems to me. The seasons are more sporadic. Winter in spring, fall in summer, cold and hot in the same week. This fall we went from 50* to 23* in one day. The leaves on the fruit trees turned brown overnight. It seemed they went into instant hibernation. Then 4 weeks of warm weather and they began to bud out. No, no I cried. It’s too late. We are at 7300′, November is no time to be breaking dormancy. Well, they did, and of course we got more cold weather. Then, to my supreme disappointment it warmed up AGAIN, and they once again began to bud. I don’t hold out much hope for survival for them. Tune in next spring for the ongoing saga.
